Following is a brief explanation on the almost complete collection of LV. LV is also one of the oldest fashion houses in the world, having started in 1854. The design, canvas and textile use for LV collection is categorized as follow :-
Monogram
A symbol of Louis Vuitton since 1896, the Monogram canvas was created by the son of Louis Vuitton, George Vuitton. In 1896, the company launched the legendary Monogram Canvas and made the worldwide patents on it. It began as a way to combat the early counterfeits of his trunks and travel pieces. Its graphic symbols, including quatrefoils and flowers (as well as the LV monogram), were based on the trend of using Japanese and Oriental designs in the late Victorian era.
DamierAnother classic collection.Damier Canvas has two seperate lines, the brown(left) often refer as Canvas and beige as known as Azur. Azur collection was launched only in 2006, Damier canvas is iluminated by a new colour, Azur which is perfectly complementary to the existing ebene.
EpiLouis Vuitton's epi leather line was created in 1986 as an homage to the grainy leather that they use in the 1920's for their travel pieces. It's a wonderful choice because of its hardiness- it's repels water beautifully and withstands daily wear with little effort. The leather itself is textured- and in two tones to give it that wonderful grained look. It has come in a variety of colors since its introduction.
